Saudi Arabia bans international flights, cancels all PIA flights

 

Saudi Arabia has canceled all international flights for a week due to the worsening global situation of the corona virus, and restrictions on air travel could be extended.

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flights have been canceled on December 21 in view of travel restrictions issued by the Saudi government. The national airline’s Lahore-Jeddah-Lahore, Islamabad-Dammam-Islamabad flights have been canceled.

Similarly, flights from Lahore to Dammam and from Dammam to Lahore, from Karachi to Madinah and from Madinah to Karachi, from Lahore to Madinah, from Madinah to Karachi, from Madinah to Multan, from Karachi to Jeddah and from Jeddah to Karachi have also been canceled.

PIA spokesman Abdullah Hafeez said the flights would be canceled until the flight permits were restored, adding that all passengers affected by the Saudi government’s decision would be adjusted as soon as the flights were restored.
