SBBWU Hosts Poetic Event to Celebrate Urdu Literature

PESHAWAR: Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University (SBBWU) Peshawar held a lively Mushaira (poetry event) on Thursday to promote Urdu literature and poetry among students and the academic community.

The event was chaired by Professor Nasir Ali Syed, while Bushra Farakh attended as the chief guest. It was organized under the guidance of Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Safia Ahmed, whose support helped make the event a success.

The program started with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Professor Zaigham Hassan, followed by a Naat by Tabinda Farakh. Dr. Sadaf Ambreen hosted the event.

Well-known poets including Owais Qarni, Dr. Syed Zubair Shah, Professor Zaigham Hassan, Dr. Ishaq Wardag, Roshan Kaleem, Akhtar Seemab, Malik Arshad Hussain, Ejaz Khattak, and Samina Qadir presented their poetry, delighting the audience with their expressive and meaningful verses.

The gathering received positive feedback from participants and guests, showing SBBWU Peshawar’s dedication to encouraging cultural and literary activities on campus.
