Second leopard attack in two days leaves boy injured in AJK

MUZAFFARABAD: A second leopard attack within 24 hours has been reported in the Hattian Bala district of Azad Kashmir, raising serious concerns among local residents.

According to media reports, a 17-year-old boy was injured in the village of Nalai after being attacked by a leopard. The teenager was rushed to the hospital for medical treatment. His condition is currently stable, officials said.

This marks the second leopard attack in the region within just a few days. On Saturday, a tragic incident occurred when a leopard entered a home in the same area and dragged away an 8-year-old girl from the courtyard. Her body was later found in nearby bushes.

Wildlife authorities are being urged to take immediate action to capture the leopard and prevent further attacks. Residents of the area are living in fear and have called for enhanced safety measures, including night patrols and wildlife control.
