PANJGUR: Security forces in Pakistan’s Balochistan province have foiled a major terrorist plot during an intelligence-based operation in Panjgur, official sources said.
According to security officials, the operation was carried out in the Jirak area after credible intelligence reports about the presence of explosives and militant materials. During the raid, forces recovered a large cache of weapons and communication equipment from a vehicle.
The recovered items included four rocket fuses and multiple improvised explosive devices (IEDs), which were allegedly intended for use in a large-scale terrorist attack.
Security sources said the timely and professional response of the forces prevented a potential catastrophe and saved countless lives by neutralizing the threat before it could be executed.
They added that the operation reflects the continued resolve of security forces to eliminate militancy and maintain peace in Balochistan.
