Shah Mehmood Qureshi demands from UAE to end visa problems for Pakistanis

 

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi in a meeting with UAE Minister of State Reem Al-Hashimi stressed the need for immediate solution to the difficulties faced by Pakistanis in obtaining UAE visas.

A statement issued by the Foreign Office said that the meeting between Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and UAE Minister of State Reem Al-Hashimi took place on the sidelines of the 47th OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in Niamey, Niger.

Bilateral cooperation, the situation in Corona, Pakistan’s participation in the Dubai Expo and issues of mutual interest were discussed. Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi spoke about the close fraternal relations between Pakistan and the UAE and the wide cooperation with the UAE in various fields.

According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office, the UAE Minister of State appreciated Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s proposal for a resolution to end Islamophobia in his address to the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, while talking about the difficulties faced by Pakistani citizens in obtaining UAE visas, stressed that these issues need to be resolved on a priority basis.

During the meeting, they discussed issues related to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and steps to make the forum a common and fundamental platform for the Muslim Ummah.
