VIENNA: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was accorded a guard of honour during a formal ceremony held at the Austrian Chancellery on Monday as part of his official engagements in Vienna.
He was received by Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker upon arrival. The national anthems of Pakistan and Austria were played at the ceremony, followed by a guard of honour presented by Austrian honour guards.
Both leaders later introduced their respective delegations before holding a one-on-one meeting, which was followed by delegation-level talks focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation in various sectors.
The Prime Minister also penned his remarks in the guest book at the Chancellery. The visit highlights efforts by the two countries to further solidify diplomatic ties and expand areas of mutual collaboration.
