PM asks youth to take inspiration from nation’s forefathers

Says a new Pakistan has emerged after May 6 and 10; enemy cannot take a drop of our water.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday declared that a “new Pakistan” has emerged after May 6 and 10, vowing that no enemy can take even a drop of the country’s water.

Addressing a ceremony marking International Youth Day, he said only a few individuals in history have changed its course, and under Quaid-e-Azam’s leadership, millions of Muslims along with members of minority communities took part in the Pakistan Movement.

The prime minister claimed that the Pakistan Air Force downed six Indian fighter jets, including four Rafales, and that the armed forces taught India a “humiliating lesson.” According to him, India’s military arrogance was drowned on May 10.

Shehbaz Sharif praised the courage and resilience of the armed forces, saying their actions had strengthened national unity and restored public confidence. He said the events of May had sent a clear message to the world that Pakistan would defend its sovereignty at all costs.

The premier also urged the youth to take inspiration from the sacrifices of the nation’s forefathers and play their part in building a stronger, more prosperous Pakistan. “The future belongs to our young generation, and they must lead the way in science, technology, and innovation,” he added.
