Sikhs for Justice Calls for Safe Homeland for Christians in India

OTTAWA: The advocacy group Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) has called for the establishment of a safe homeland for Christians in India, proposing the name “Trump Land” for the envisioned territory.

Invoking the United Nations–recognized right to self-determination, SFJ released a proposed map identifying parts of northeastern India as a potential secure region for the Christian community.

The group, which is organizing the global Khalistan Referendum, has formally presented the proposal and appealed for international support.

SFJ leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun urged  U.S. President Donald Trump to intervene directly, stating that the proposed region would be named in Trump’s honor. Pannun alleged that while the world was celebrating Christmas, Christians in India faced organized violence, attacks, and repression, particularly under the current government.

According to Pannun, threats are not limited to Christians; Sikhs in Indian Punjab are also facing increasing pressure. He described the proposed area as part of the “Seven Sister States”, including Nagaland, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, and Assam—noting that these regions have historically distinct identities and significant Christian populations.

The proposal envisions “Trump Land” as a secure Christian corridor capable of providing refuge to millions.

SFJ alleged that Indian state policies have criminalized Christian practices, citing incidents of church burnings, attacks on Christian settlements, and forced displacement.

The group characterized violence against minorities as part of a systematic agenda driven by Hindutva ideology, referencing statements by RSS leadership describing India as a Hindu state.

SFJ also argued that an independent Khalistan alongside a secure Christian homeland (“Trump Land”) could emerge as strong and loyal U.S. allies in South Asia.

The organization has called on the U.S. administration to support what it described as a democratic process, despite India declaring the Khalistan Referendum illegal.
