BANNU: A suicide bombing near Domel Police Station in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bannu district has claimed the lives of five civilians, including three women and a child, while four others were left critically injured in the tragic incident.
According to security sources, the attacker attempted to target the police station; however, security forces acted promptly and successfully repulsed the assault, preventing further damage. Despite this, the explosion occurred in a nearby civilian area, resulting in significant casualties among innocent bystanders.
The injured were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where they are being provided urgent and necessary medical treatment.
Rescue teams, along with local residents, remain actively engaged in clearing debris from the affected structures and continuing relief operations at the site.
