Survey Launched for New Karachi-Hyderabad Motorway

KARACHI: A survey work for the construction of a new motorway from Karachi to Hyderabad has officially begun, while the M-6 Hyderabad–Sukkur section has also been approved.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah met with Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan in Karachi, where the two leaders discussed various development projects.

During the meeting, CM Murad Ali Shah expressed gratitude to the federal government for approving the M-6 Hyderabad–Sukkur motorway project, noting its importance for regional connectivity. He also confirmed that survey work for the new Karachi–Hyderabad motorway is underway.

Federal Minister Aleem Khan shared details of the M-6 project, stating that it will be built at a cost of PKR 363 billion by the National Highway Authority (NHA).

He explained that the M-6 motorway has been divided into four sections, stretching from Naushero Feroze to Ranipur, Ranipur to Sukkur, Hyderabad to Tando Adam, and Tando Adam to Nawabshah.

The development of these projects is expected to significantly improve road infrastructure and reduce travel time between major cities in Sindh.
