Three prisoners escape from sub-jail in Balochistan

Police say escaped prisoners were involved in separate cases of dacoity.

DUKI (BALOCHISTAN): Three prisoners escaped from a sub-jail set up in a police station in the district of Duki in Balochistan, the police said on Monday.

According to the station house officer of Duki Jalil Ahmed Marri, a total of 13 prisoners were kept in the sub-jail set up in the police station. On Monday morning,they were taken out for going to toilet during which three of the prisoners escaped after cutting the ventilators of a washroom. 

The police official identified the prisoners as Asmat Ullah, Kabeer and Sadiq. They were arrested in two separate cases of dacoity. The police have launched a hunt to arrest the escaped prisoners.

Two days ago, as many as 19 prisoners escaped form the district jail of Rawalakot in Azad Kashmir. The prisoners snatched weapons from the guards and escaped. The AJK government has arrested seven security guards of the jail and launched an investigation into the jailbreak.
