KARACHI: MQM Pakistan convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has said that time is running out for us and the government, option of resignation used earlier, and can use again in future.
Addressing a press conference, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that the biggest point of MQM to join the government was the correct census. We are part of the government but what has this government done for Karachi? He has also informed the government of his concerns and strategy. We will take a final decision soon.
The MQM leader said that in the census, the governments deliberately underestimated the refugee population in Karachi. Two and a half crore identity cards were issued for the city but the population was shown to be one crore. There are several blocks in Karachi where voters are present. But the population was shown to be zero, the nation was deceived in the name of the 18th amendment and its biggest target is the urban areas of Sindh.
