Trade Delegation Hosted at Pakistan’s Consulate General

NEW YORK: The Consulate General of Pakistan in New York hosted a high-level trade delegation aimed at enhancing exports of Pakistan’s Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to the United States.

The delegation was organized by the Global Trade and Expo Centre, Islamabad, and included entrepreneurs from diverse sectors such as food processing, footwear, information technology, surgical instruments, and beauty products.

Consul General Mr. Aamer Ahmed Atozai welcomed the delegation. In his opening remarks, Mr. Atozai reaffirmed the consulate’s commitment to supporting Pakistani businesses in expanding their international footprint.

He emphasized that the United States remains one of Pakistan’s most vital trade partners, offering significant opportunities for growth through innovation, partnerships, and access to new markets.

He also provided the delegates with an overview of the U.S. economic landscape, highlighting emerging opportunities for Pakistani products in niche and high-demand markets. He encouraged Pakistani SMEs to position their brands strategically to meet evolving consumer preferences in the U.S.

The consulate assured the visiting delegation of its continued support in navigating regulatory frameworks, facilitating business linkages, and connecting with potential U.S. buyers and industry leaders.

This initiative reflects the Consulate’s broader efforts to strengthen Pakistan’s export potential and empower SMEs to engage effectively with global markets.
