Turkish foreign minister arrives in Islamabad on official visit

ISLAMABAD: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan arrived in Islamabad on Tuesday night for an official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral ties.

He was welcomed at the airport by Additional Secretary Syed Ali Gillani from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the visit underscores the deep-rooted fraternal relationship between Türkiye and Pakistan, built on a foundation of shared history, culture, and mutual trust.

During his stay, Foreign Minister Fidan will hold in-depth discussions on key issues of mutual interest. Talks will focus on enhancing cooperation in the areas of economy, trade, and defense.

The high-level visit is also expected to advance bilateral collaboration in security and counter-terrorism. The Turkish delegation is scheduled to meet other senior civilian and military officials during the trip.
