ISLAMABAD: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Minister of National Defence Yasar Guler met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad on Tuesday.
The two sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen bilateral relations and elevate them to a strategic partnership.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, and National Security Adviser Lt Gen Asim Malik were also present at the meeting.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif warmly welcomed the Turkish delegation and expressed satisfaction over the longstanding brotherly ties between Pakistan and Türkiye.
He reiterated Pakistan’s firm resolve to deepen cooperation in diverse fields, including trade, investment, technology, and defence, and to transform the bilateral relationship into a strategic partnership
