UAE, Pakistan Commit to Expand Economic, Strategic Partnerships

ISLAMABAD: United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a meeting and discussed ways to further strengthening relations between the two nations.

The meeting was held soon after the USE president arrived in Islamabad on an official visit. The meeting was also attended by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir. It focused on a wide range of topics, including economic cooperation, regional stability, and global developments.

During the discussions, both sides expressed a commitment to enhancing bilateral relations, with a particular emphasis on increasing investment, expanding energy collaboration, and advancing infrastructure and IT partnerships. The leaders also agreed on the importance of boosting trade volume between the two countries, strengthening people-to-people ties, and fostering technology collaborations in various sectors.

Prime Minister Sharif and President of the UAE emphasized the need for continued close coordination on issues of mutual interest. They acknowledged the importance of regional peace and stability and reiterated their shared goals of sustainable development, peace, and security in the region.

The UAE, already a key trade partner for Pakistan, has committed to further investment in the country’s economic growth. Both sides aim to leverage their strategic partnership to improve bilateral trade, technological innovation, and infrastructure development, which would be mutually beneficial.

This meeting also included discussions on the current global and regional political landscape, with a shared commitment to maintaining close dialogue on these crucial issues.
