NEW YORK: The United Nations Security Council has adopted a US-backed resolution on Ukraine by rejecting all anti-Russia amendments brought by the European Union.

So the US has, in other words, become an ally of Russia on the third anniversary of the war with the return of Donald Trump to the White House.

A voting was held in the UNSC on a joint resolution of the European Union and a separate resolution of the United States about Ukraine on Monday.

The first UN General Assembly resolution supporting the territorial integrity of Ukraine and the immediate withdrawal of Russian forces was introduced on the completion of the third year of the Ukraine war.

The resolution, proposed by Ukraine and the European Union, called for the withdrawal of Russian forces from Ukraine.

Despite strong opposition from the United States, the United Nations overwhelmingly approved the European-backed Ukraine resolution. As many as 93 countries voted in favor of the resolution, while the United States, like Russia, Belarus, North Korea and Sudan, voted against it.

A separate U.S. resolution was then voted on in the Security Council.

The U.S. resolution called for an immediate end to the conflict and a lasting peace between Ukraine and Russia, saying the U.N.’s central role was to make possible world peace and an end to conflicts.

The resolution did not refer to Russia as an aggressor, but to the Ukraine-Russia conflict. The resolution expressed regret for the deaths during the conflict between the Russian Federation and Ukraine.

Russia has vetoed a European attempt to amend a US resolution on Ukraine.

The Security Council rejected all anti-Russian European amendments and adopted a US resolution on Ukraine.

According to the foreign news agency, 10 countries, including the United States, Russia, China and Pakistan, voted in favor of the resolution. Five members, including Britain and France, abstained.

Thus, in the case of Ukraine, the United States replaced Europe with Russia as an ally.

Pakistan’s Alternate Envoy and Ambassador to the UN Asim Iftikhar said that Pakistan supported the resolution because peace is a shared goal which can only be achieved with collective and holistic thinking.
