UNITED NATIONS: The United Nations Security Council has convened a closed-door meeting on US-Iran war, as regional tensions continue to escalate following reports of attacks on civilian areas.

The meeting, scheduled for 10 a.m., was requested by Russia in response to the situation on the ground.

According to international media reports, the meeting will focus on recent developments in Iran, particularly US and Israeli airstrikes targeting civilian infrastructure.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that air attacks by the United States and Israel were ongoing in different parts of Iran. Iranian media reported that in the city of Qom, at least three residential houses were hit in airstrikes, resulting in the deaths of six people.

In addition, air bombardment was also reported near the Pakistani embassy and the residence of the Pakistani ambassador in Tehran, raising concerns about the safety of diplomatic missions in the region.

The situation has further heightened global concern, with the Security Council expected to deliberate on possible steps to address the crisis and prevent further escalation.
