NEW YORK: The Consulate General of Pakistan in New York hosted a networking dinner to honor a 20-member delegation from the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI).
The event, organized by the Consulate’s Trade and Investment Section, aimed to strengthen bilateral trade ties and explore sector-specific synergies between Pakistan and the United States.
The evening began with opening remarks from Trade and Investment Counsellor Adnan Mahmood Awan, who welcomed the FPCCI delegation and emphasized the importance of fostering bilateral trade relations.
Consul General Aamer Ahmed Atozai highlighted the United States as Pakistan’s largest export destination and an essential trading partner, noting that such interactions enhance mutual understanding and promote Pakistan’s economic potential.
FPCCI representatives, including Vice President Tariq Jadoon, Chairman Coordination & Consultant Malik Sohail Hussain, and Chairman of the FPCCI Capital Office Islamabad & Former Vice President Karim Aziz Malik, expressed gratitude to the Consulate for organizing the event and shared highlights of their visit, which included meetings with the Ambassador of Pakistan to the US, the US Department of Commerce, and the Office of the United States Trade Representative.
The dinner provided an opportunity for U.S.-based business leaders from various sectors—such as textile, mining, food and agriculture, finance, and pharmaceuticals—to engage in discussions with the FPCCI delegation. The Consulate reaffirmed its commitment to facilitating business linkages between the private sectors of both countries.
The event concluded with a shared optimism for deeper and sustained engagement between Pakistani exporters and U.S. businesses, particularly in non-traditional sectors of trade.
