Work Underway on Privatization of Major Airports: Minister

ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb has said that work is underway on the privatization of major airports in Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Finance in Islamabad, the minister made these remarks during a meeting with his Saudi counterpart, Mohammed Al-Jadaan, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

During the meeting, Senator Aurangzeb highlighted positive developments in Pakistan’s financial sector, noting that more than 120,000 new investors have recently joined the country’s capital market. He said this reflects growing confidence in Pakistan’s economic reforms.

The two ministers also discussed ways to strengthen long-standing economic ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and explored opportunities to expand bilateral cooperation in key sectors.
