During the first two months of the current fiscal year 2026, remittances rose to $6.4 billion, showing a 7% growth compared to $5.9 billion in the same period last year.
The SBP reported that inflows from Saudi Arabia stood at $736.7 million, while $642.9 million came from the United Arab Emirates. Remittances from the United Kingdom were recorded at $463.4 million, from the United States at $267.3 million, and from European countries at over $430 million.
The central bank added that these steady inflows reflect the continued trust of overseas Pakistanis and provide crucial support to the country’s external account.
