Zoo Animal Deaths – IHC issue Contempt of Court Notices to Amin Aslam and Zartaj Gul

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued contempt of court show cause notices to Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Malik Amin Aslam and Minister of State Zartaj Gul in a case of killing of animals at a zoo in the federal capital.

While hearing the case against the killing of animals at the Islamabad Zoo
Athar Minallah, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, have admitted it that cabinet members have nothing to do with it.

Chief Justice Athar Minallah remarked that the Cabinet had approved the Wildlife Board so they are also responsible, therefore show cause notices will be issued to all those responsible, the Deputy Attorney General requested not to issue show cause notices, however, the court rejected his plea.

Chief Justice Athar Minallah said that when it was time to take credit, everyone was visiting the zoo, if something went wrong, everyone showed indifference, international conventions are for the protection of humanity and animals, 40 giraffes from outside. Imported and all of them died, the import of animals should be banned.

The Chief Justice of the High Court said that at the request of the Secretary Climate Change, I should take up the notification of 2015 and hold the Prime Minister responsible for this matter. Unfortunately, you are also trying to bring the Prime Minister into it. The Prime Minister will not even know what happened in this case.
