10 passengers died in a coach hit by slandslide in Skardu

SKARDU: A passenger coach from Rawalpindu to Skardu​​ was hit by a landslide on Gilgit-Skardu Road near Tangus on Sunday, 10 people were died and many others injured when a mountain vehicle fell on it.

The local administration said about 15 passengers were on board the bus at the time of the accident. Five of them were about to land before the accident. Rescue operations are underway to remove the bodies from the wreckage, but local rescue efforts are hampered.

On the other hand, according to the police officials who reached the spot, some parts of the passenger vehicle and some bodies could be seen, however, the total number of casualties could be stated after the completion of the rescue operation.
