14 militants killed in security operation in North Waziristan: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: As many as 14 terrorists were killed in an intelligence-based operation conducted by security forces in the Datta Khel area of North Waziristan district, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan Army.

The operation was launched on credible intelligence regarding the presence of militants affiliated with the outlawed group “Fitna Al-Khawarij.” A fierce exchange of fire took place between the security personnel and the terrorists, resulting in the elimination of 14 militants.

According to the ISPR, the targeted hideout was being used by militants operating under Indian sponsorship. The location was effectively neutralized, and a follow-up clearance operation is currently underway to eliminate any remaining threats in the area.

The ISPR further stated that security forces remain resolute in their commitment to eradicating Indian-sponsored terrorism from Pakistani soil.
