One terrorist killed, two others arrested: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: The media of the military on Saturday said that security forces killed one terrorist and arrested two others in an intelligence-based operation in the Tirah area of Khyber district.

According to the ISPR, there was an intense exchange of firing between the security forces and the terrorists after which one of the terrorists was killed and two others were arrested. It added that weapons and ammunition were recovered from the terrorists who were involved in attacks on security forces and target killings of innocent civilians in the area.

In another incident, two soldiers embraced martyrdom when a bomb exploded in Sarwekai area of South Waziristan. 

It may be noted here that terror attacks on security forces and across from the Afghan border in different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan have increased in the recent years, especially after the takeover of Kabul by Taliban in the year 2021..
