ISLAMABAD: Minister for Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb on Tuesday said that the national economy was fast recovering and inflation had come down by 21 per cent.
Addressing a news conference along with Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar and Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, he said that international organizations had also expressed their confidence that Pakistan’s economy was stabilizing fast.
Moreover, he added, confidence of investors was increasing. He also said that the Saudi delegation during its visit to also expressed confidence in Pakistan’s economy.
“Foreign exchange reserves have exceeded $9 billion while inflation has reduced from 38 per cent to 17 per cent and wais gradually coming down,” he claimed. The minister also said that an IMF team would visit Pakistan soon.
