Sardar Atiq said that despite the struggle and sacrifices by the Kashmiri people for over seven decades the issue has not been resolved and event today the Kashmiri people are being killed and their human rights violated at the hands of the Indian occupation forces.
He was of the opinion that there is a need to renew the Kashmir strategy to achieve the result. There is a new to make the Kashmir struggle proactive.
Speaking on the occasion, PML-N leader Raja Zafarul Haq said that Pakistan was yet to play its active role to get the issue of Kashmir resolved. He said that former Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina had banned Jamaat Islami but the students in that country did what others had failed to do. Now after resignation of Sheikh Hasina and her escape to India, the Indian government is even unable to say where the former prime minister was.
Other speakers at the seminar stressed the need to practically work for the rights of the Kashmiri people who have been in subjugation under the Indian occupation. They also called upon the international community to give the right to self-determination to the people of Kashmir that had been promised by the United Nation Security Council through its various resolutions.
