GAZA: After over 15 months of the Israeli war and killing of over 47,000 civilians by Israeli forces, Palestinian resistance fighters were seen patrolling the devastated streets of Gaza and being welcomed by local people.
Videos and photos released by a foreign news agency showed Palestinian fighters patrolling the streets of the Gaza Strip’s Deir el-Balah and Khan Younis areas that showed buildings brought down to debris by Israeli airstrikes.
The ceasefire in Gaza has finally come to force after a delay of several hours with the implementation of the agreement scheduled to begin at 11:30am Pakistan standard time, which was delayed by about four hours.
According to media reports, thousands of Palestinian police officers have been deployed in different areas, the municipality has started reopening and restoring streets.
Israeli started the war on Gaza on October 7, 2023 and according to Palestinian Health Department, 47,899 people including thousands of children and women were martyred, while more than 110,000 Palestinians were injured and thousands were missing. The entire Gaza strip has been turned into rubble by Israeli airstrikes.
