Pakistan to Introduce New Digital System for Private Hajj 2027

Over 80,000 Pakistanis to perform Hajj under govt scheme

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Religious Affairs has decided to introduce a new digital system for the private Hajj operation in 2027, in accordance with Saudi Arabia’s Nusuk Masar system, in a move aimed at bringing the private Hajj scheme under a more centralised and digitally managed framework.

Under the new arrangement, bookings for private Hajj will no longer be handled directly by private Hajj operators. Instead, all bookings will be processed through the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

For the first time, the private Hajj operation will also be conducted under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Religious Affairs alongside the government Hajj scheme.

According to sources, the private Hajj scheme will be operated through the ministry’s official Pak Hajj application, through which the booking process and other related arrangements will be managed.

The decision marks a significant change in the mechanism for managing private Hajj operations, with the ministry taking a more direct role in overseeing the scheme.
