Saudi interest in exploring investment opportunities hailed

Delegation form Saudi ministries of foreign affairs, energy, health, environment and agriculture on a visit to Pakistan.

ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar has appreciated Saudi Arabia’s interest in exploring investment opportunities in Pakistan.

She was talking to a Saudi delegation led by Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs Waleed Abdulkarim El Khereji in Islamabad on Tuesday.

During the meeting, she apprised the Saudi delegation of the constitution of a Special Investment Facilitation Council to facilitate and fast-track potential investments from GCC member states especially the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 

The minister of state expressed satisfaction with the positive trajectory of bilateral relations as both countries have a long history of relations marked by mutual trust and understanding and close multifaceted cooperation.

It is pertinent to mention that Waleed Abdulkarim El Khereji is leading a high-level delegation with members from the Saudi Ministries of foreign affairs, energy, health, environment and agriculture, industry, mineral resources and investment.
