Breakthrough Expected in US-Iran Peace Talks As CDF Arrives in Tehran

TEHRAN: Field Marshal Asim Munir has arrived in Tehran on an official visit as diplomatic efforts intensify to broker a lasting ceasefire between the United States and Iran.

During his visit, Field Marshal Munir is scheduled to meet senior Iranian officials, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, to discuss ongoing US-Iran negotiations, regional stability, and other key issues.

According to Reuters, a Qatari delegation has also arrived in Tehran to facilitate the talks, raising hopes of a permanent ceasefire between the two nations in the near future.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Interior Minister Moeen Naqvi met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to discuss measures to reduce regional tensions and the details of ending the conflict with the United States. The discussions included reviewing draft proposals for establishing peace and exploring practical mechanisms for implementation.

Diplomatic sources indicate that Minister Naqvi will remain in Tehran to continue critical meetings related to the ongoing US-Iran negotiations. Analysts note that Pakistan’s mediation role, coupled with Qatari facilitation, could be pivotal in achieving a breakthrough in the talks.
