ISLAMABAD: Cabinet Committee for Energy (CCE) has approved the suggestion to provide extra electricity to K-electric from National Grid Station in a meeting headed by Minister for Planning Asad Umer on Saturday in Islamabad.
In the meeting, committee briefed Asad Umer about electricity demand and supply situation to Karachi for next three years.
The committee has ordered to finalise the specifics between all stakeholders untill 15 August. Moreover, CCE approved the alternate and renewable energy policy 2019 in the meeting.
Furthermore, the structure of the policy will be presented in Council of Common Interest (CCI) to finalise it.
The CCE have been also briefed about Kohala and Pak-Pattan power projects situation. On that, the committee requisioned further details about the projects from PPI.
