Comedian Allah Rakha ‘Pepsi’ Passes Away

LAHORE: Renowned Pakistani comedian and stage performer Allah Rakha, popularly known by his stage names “Pepsi” and “Pani Puri,” has passed away at the age of 50 after reportedly suffering a heart attack during a recording session.

The news of his death was confirmed by fellow actor and television host Mohsin Abbas Haider through an Instagram story. According to Haider, Allah Rakha collapsed after experiencing a heart attack while recording, and efforts to save him were unsuccessful.

Allah Rakha earned widespread acclaim for his one-man comedy performances, stage shows, and parody acts. He was especially admired for his impersonation of global pop icon Michael Jackson, a performance that earned him the nickname “Pakistan’s Michael Jackson.”

His sudden death has sent shockwaves through Pakistan’s entertainment industry, with fellow artists and fans expressing deep grief and paying tribute to his contributions to comedy and stage performance.
