RAWALPINDI: Corps commanders at a conference chaired by Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir on Friday expressed their resolve to use full force against those trying to destabilize Pakistan by disturbing peace in Balochistan.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the 268th corps commanders conference was held under the chairmanship of the army chief in which Fateha was offered for martyrs.
The forum was briefed on the current situation in the region, Pakistan’s strategy in response to the challenges and growing threats to national security. Regional and internal security situation was also reviewed in detail.
According to the ISPR, the forum reiterated its resolve to eliminate cross-border terrorism at all costs and said those trying to destabilize Pakistan, anti-national elements, facilitators and their enablers will be dealt with full force.
The forum reiterated that no one would be allowed to disturb peace in Balochistan and nefarious attempts to disrupt the stability and prosperity of Balochistan would be foiled, the ISPR said.
The participants of the conference said that foreign collusion, attempts to spread and promote anarchy had been completely exposed. Such elements and those who make such attempts will not be given any kind of amnesty.
The forum stressed the need for speedy and effective implementation of the strategy of Resolute Stabilization under the purview of the National Action Plan and the importance of a joint approach with the cooperation of the entire nation against terrorism.
The army chief appreciated the launch of District Coordination Committees established under the National Action Plan across Pakistan and stressed the need for speedy implementation of the National Action Plan without any hindrance, adding all institutions should ensure cooperation in the implementation of the National Action Plan as per government directives.
He said the Pakistan Army would provide full support to the government and law enforcement agencies against terror financing.
The corps commanders’ conference expressed serious concern over the grave human rights violations in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, as well as the unprovoked ceasefire violations by the Indian army along the Line of Control.
It emphasized Pakistan’s strong and unwavering support for the just rights of the people of occupied Kashmir. The participants said sustained diplomatic efforts were necessary to highlight the human rights violations in occupied Kashmir at the global level.
The forum also expressed full solidarity with the Palestinian people and strongly condemned the grave human rights violations and war crimes in Gaza, while reiterating its unwavering diplomatic, political and moral support to the Palestinians.
