Consultations Finalized for ODI Squad Against Australia

LAHORE: Pakistan has completed the final consultations for the selection of the national team for the upcoming ODI series against Australia.

Several changes are expected in the squad that played against Bangladesh, with Babar Azam likely to be included for the Australia series. Fakhar Zaman, Sufiyan Muqeem, and Hanif Shah are also expected to join the team, while Faheem Ashraf and Hussain Talat may find it difficult to retain their spots. Discussions regarding Mohammad Rizwan’s inclusion are still ongoing.

The Australian team is scheduled to arrive in Islamabad on May 23, while Pakistan will begin training in Rawalpindi from May 22 and will play one practice match before the series.

The three-match ODI series between Pakistan, nicknamed the “Shaheens,” and Australia, known as the “Kangaroos,” will take place on May 30, June 2, and June 4. Match officials for the series have already been announced.
