Dr Zakir Naik arrives in Islamabad on govt’s invitation

World's prominent scholar will deliver lectures in Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi.

ISLAMABAD: World’s renowned Islamic scholar Dr Zakir Naik arrived in Islamabad on the invitation of the government on Monday.

At the Islamabad International Airport, Dr Naik was welcomed by senior government officials. He was later driven to the federal capital. Besides Islamabad, he will visit Lahore and Karachi and deliver lectures.

An announcement was made from the official account of Dr Naik on social networking platform of X a few days ago that he along with Sheikh Farooq Naik will be visiting Pakistan on the invitation of the government next month.

The announcement also stated that Dr Naik will address public gathering in Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi during his visit. He will be delivering lectures in Karachi on October 5-6, Lahore October 12-13 and Islamabad on October 19-20.

TV channels will broadcast the addresses of Dr Naik live. It may be mentioned here that Dr Naik had planned to visit Pakistan in 2020 but due to the COVID pandemic it was cancelled.
