ISLAMABAD: Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated across Pakistan today with great religious enthusiasm and devotion.
Large congregations for Eid prayers were held in major cities including Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta as well as in smaller towns nationwide.
Thousands of worshippers gathered at mosques and open grounds to offer Eid prayers and seek blessings for the country’s peace, stability, and prosperity.
Citizens followed the Sunnah by wearing new clothes, applying perfume, and consuming sweet dishes before heading to prayer grounds. After the نماز, people warmly greeted each other with hugs and exchanged Eid wishes.
Festive celebrations are underway in homes, where special dishes are being prepared. Children are particularly excited as they receive “Eidi” (monetary gifts) from elders.
The government has implemented strict security measures across the country to ensure citizens can celebrate safely and without fear.
Meanwhile, Eid-ul-Fitr was observed a day earlier in Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries. The largest congregations took place at Masjid al-Haram and Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, where millions of Muslims offered prayers.
