ISTANBUL: A massive rally was held in support of Palestinians here in which Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called Israel an occupier and killer of innocent people of Gaza.
Addressing the massive pro-Palestinian rally, he repeated his stance about Hamas and ridiculed those who say it’s a terrorist organization.
He accused the Western powers of being the main culprit behind the Israeli army’s “massacre” of Palestinians in Gaza.
Over eight thousand Palestinians have so far been martyred in Israeli attacks against Palestinians since October 7.
The participants of the rally chanted slogans against the Zionist state and its backers for the massacre of innocent people of Palestine including children and women.
In other major cities of the world, people took to the streets in support of Palestinians.
A huge protest was held in Paris despite a ban during which the participants clashed with the police and many of them were injured.
Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said the Israeli attacks in Gaza are against civilians will create a catastrophe.
He said it is necessary to stop Israeli brutalities and to announce humanitarian programmes to save the population under blockade.
