KARACHI: Well-known architect Yasmin Lari has refused to accept an award from an Israeli institution.
Yasmin Lari told a TV channel over the phone that she refused to accept the award of the Wolf Foundation due to the ongoing Israeli brutality in Gaza.
The well-known architect said that neither she knew anything about this award nor she had applied for it. She said that a few days ago, the Wolf Foundation informed her about the award by email. The foundation also announced a $1 million reward, which Ms Lari said she turned down.
Yasmin Lari added, “We are silent on Israeli oppression on the people of Gaza, but we must do as much as we can against the Israeli brutalities.”
