LAHORE: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that Pakistan must focus on resolving its internal challenges in the same way it engages with global issues.
Speaking at a ceremony in Lahore held in memory of JUI-F leader and poet Syed Salman Gilani, the JUI-F chief said that while the ceasefire between the United States and Iran was a significant development, attention must also be given to domestic problems.
He said that Pakistan’s internal issues require serious and immediate attention, adding that effective solutions are essential for national progress.
Commenting on regional security, Maulana Fazlur Rehman stated that if India were to commit aggression against Pakistan, his party would stand at the forefront in response.
He highlighted concerns over the country’s economic situation, noting that both eastern and western borders face restrictions and trade routes remain closed. He urged policymakers to clearly define Pakistan’s economic future amid growing challenges.
The JUI-F chief emphasized that economic stability and improved regional connectivity are essential for the country’s long-term development.
