BALOCHISTAN: A Turbat court has sentenced an FC official to death for killing student Hayat Baloch.
Hayat Baloch was shot dead by a Frontier Corps officer in front of his parents on August 13 last year. The culprit now has a month’s respite. In the meantime, he can appeal against the decision to the High Court and then to the Supreme Court.
Hayat Baloch’s brother Murad Mirza Baloch expressed satisfaction over the court’s verdict in his brother’s murder case. “There was no pressure on us during the whole case,” he said. We have pursued the case independently.
Hayat Baloch, a resident of Turbat District, was a final year BS student in the Department of Physiology in Karachi.
