Former PM Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali died at the age of 76 in Rawalpindi’s hospital

 

 

Former Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali has died in Rawalpindi at the age of 76 due to a heart attack. His son has confirmed his father’s death.

Former Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali was suffering from a heart attack and was admitted to the Military Heart Institute in Rawalpindi a few days ago after suffering a heart attack. Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali was kept on a ventilator due to his critical condition.

Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjarani, Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser, Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri, Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed and other political personalities have expressed deep sorrow and grief over the demise of Mir Zafarullah Jamali and passed prayers for the patience of the bereaved family.

Leading political figures have paid rich tributes to the services of the former Prime Minister to the country and the nation. The Speaker National Assembly said that he was saddened to hear the news of the death of Mir Zafarullah Jamali. Jamali was an excellent politician and had a good personality, speaker of NA said.

Mir Zafarullah Jamali Born on January 1, 1944 in Rojhan Jamali, a small village in Balochistan, he belonged to a political family. His uncle Mir Jafar Khan Jamali was a close associate of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

It is to be noted that Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali became the Prime Minister under former President Pervez Musharraf but resigned from him in 2004 and Shaukat Aziz was made the Prime Minister. After winning the National Assembly election as an independent in 2013, he joined PML-N.
