ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration carried out a major operation at Islamabad International Airport, offloading four passengers attempting to travel abroad on forged travel documents.

According to FIA officials, the passengers were scheduled to fly to New Zealand on a work visa via flight CZ8070. However, during immigration clearance, the work visas presented by the passengers were found to be fake.

The offloaded passengers were identified as Muhammad Imran, Mian Tauseef, Sultan Afzal, and Abdul Rehman, belonging to Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Peshawar. FIA sources further revealed that the passports of the passengers carried Protector of Emigrants stamps allegedly issued from the Rawalpindi, Abbottabad, and Peshawar offices, which are now under scrutiny.

Following the detection of forged documents, the passengers were handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle, Islamabad, for further investigation and to identify the agents involved in facilitating the illegal travel attempt.
