DUBAI: Air travel operations across Gulf countries have shown significant improvement with a noticeable rise in the number of flights operating to and from the region amid evolving geopolitical developments.

According to airport sources, air traffic to and from the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Saudi Arabia has increased steadily in recent days. The improvement comes in the backdrop of ongoing regional diplomatic activity, including discussions between Iran and the United States, which have helped stabilize travel and aviation conditions.

Officials reported that Qatar, followed by Kuwait, Bahrain, and the UAE, have expanded their flight operations, resulting in more than 100 incoming and outgoing flights connecting these countries with Pakistan and other international destinations.

From Pakistan, increased air connectivity has also been recorded across major airports. Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport operated 25 two-way flights to Gulf destinations, while Karachi recorded 28 flights, Islamabad 18, Peshawar 8, Quetta 4, Multan 6, and Faisalabad 4 flights.

Airport authorities stated that the improvement in regional air operations is expected to enhance passenger convenience, reduce travel disruptions, and further stabilize international flight schedules in the coming days.
