HC Babar Amin attended Full-Time GSOC Course Graduation Parade at RMC, Australia
CANBERRA: High Commissioner for Pakistan Babar Amin, today attended, the Full Time General Service Officer Commissioning Course Graduation Parade, on the invitation of Royal Military College (RMC) –Duntroon in Canberra, Australia.
Two Pakistani participants of the course, Cadet Muhammad Haris Miraj and Muhammad Ali Zahid graduated in the ceremony this year. Cadet Muhammad Haris Miraj has been declared as the Best Overseas Graduate, an honour that Cadets from Pakistan have been awarded, by the RMC Duntroon, earlier as well.
The HC, while utilizing the occasion, exchanged views on bilateral relations including between armed forces of the two countries with the Governor General of the Commonwealth of Australia, General David Hurley who was the Reviewing Officer of the ceremony, General Angus Campbell, the Chief of Defence Forces and Lt Gen. Richard Burr, the Chief of Army of Australia.
The interlocutors expressed satisfaction over the close defence cooperation between the two sides and reaffirmed the need to continue such exchanges. However, the RMC of Australia prepares cadets for careers as officers in Australian Army. The college also trains select number of cadets from other friendly countries including Pakistan.
