The Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan tweeted on the social networking site Twitter that the second wave of Corona is spreading around the world which is very worrying, most countries have a complete lockdown.
In Peshawar and Multan corona cases have increased by 200 percent, Karachi by 148 per cent, Lahore by 114 per cent and Islamabad by 65 per cent, PM Khan added in the tweet.
PM Imran has said that he does not want to take steps like lockdown as it will have a bad effect on our economy at a time when we are moving towards economic recovery. Unfortunately, the opposition’s only goal is to get the NRO, even if it costs the lives of the people and the economy of the country at any cost, he added.
PM Khan said opposition is risking people’s lives and livelihoods to get NRO.
However, PM Imran Khan said that he made it clear that even if the opposition held one million meetings, they would not get RO. If the Corona cases continue to grow at the same pace, a complete lockdown will have to be imposed. While, the PDM leadership will be responsible for the complete lockdown in the country and its consequences, he emphasized.
