Imran names Ali Amin Gandapur as KP chief minister

Says except PML-N, PPP and MQM, his party can talk with any party.

RAWALPINDI: Former prime minister and founder of PTI Imran Khan has said that Ali Amin Gandapur will be the next chief minister of Khyber Pakthunkhwa.

He made the announcement while talking to reporters in Adiala jail on Tuesday. The PTI-backed independents have won majority of seats in the KP province and are in a comfortable position to form their government.

In reply to a question, the jailed former prime minister said he had directed his party leaders not to enter into any talk with PML-N, PPP and MQM to form a government in the centre and Punjab.

He said such political elements were being brought to power who had been the biggest money launders.

He said after an election, a country sees stability and development but here a group of elements are being thrusted upon the masses who had been convicted of corruption and other charges.

Imran said such a large scale rigging and irregularities had never been seen in any elections in the country or abroad. He said both Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz have lost their elections but they are being awarded with power. He said the people of Pakistan will not accept the rigged elections and his party would challenge it at all available forums.
