UNITED NATIONS: Pakistan delivered a strong response to India at the United Nations Security Council, accusing New Delhi of exporting terrorism and supporting militant proxies in the region.

Speaking at the high-level session, Pakistani diplomat Saima Saleem said that banned outfits including Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), and the Majeed Brigade were operating as proxies backed by India.

She asserted that attacks against Pakistan had been planned and facilitated from Afghan territory, adding that Pakistan had carried out precise counterterrorism operations against militant hideouts.

Rejecting allegations from the Afghan Taliban authorities, the Pakistani envoy termed them part of a “misleading campaign,” and reiterated that India could not conceal its actions in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), where, she said, civilians were facing killings, arrests, and displacement.

Saima Saleem further highlighted the plight of minorities in India, stating that Muslims and other communities were increasingly subjected to discrimination and violence. She also criticized India’s suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, calling it a violation of international commitments.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s stance, she emphasized that the country remained committed to peace, dialogue, and adherence to international law, while urging the global community to take note of India’s alleged destabilizing role in the region.
