Justin Bieber Joins Madonna, Shakira and BTS for FIFA World Cup Final Show

NEW YORK: FIFA and Global Citizen have announced that global pop star Justin Bieber will co-headline the first-ever FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show on July 19, 2026, at New York New Jersey Stadium.

Bieber joins Madonna, Shakira and BTS in a landmark performance that combines football, music and global philanthropy. Moreover, the 11-minute show aims to reach billions of viewers during the FIFA World Cup 2026 final.

Burna Boy will also perform during the halftime show. Meanwhile, renowned conductor Gustavo Dudamel and the award-winning PS22 Chorus featuring Coldplay will join the global celebration.

The event will unite some of the world’s biggest artists. At the same time, it will promote education and social development through football.

Halftime Show to Support Global Education

FIFA President Gianni Infantino said education remains one of the world’s greatest priorities. Therefore, he welcomed Bieber’s participation in support of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.

Infantino said Burna Boy, Gustavo Dudamel and the PS22 Chorus featuring Coldplay would also deliver a powerful message of unity and hope. Furthermore, he said the performance, curated by Coldplay’s Chris Martin, would celebrate football, music and shared human values.

The FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund aims to raise $100 million. So far, it has already secured more than $50 million to expand education and football opportunities for children worldwide.

Additionally, FIFA donates one dollar from every FIFA World Cup 2026 match ticket sold to support education projects across the globe.

Bieber said he was honoured to join the historic halftime show. He added that the initiative was already helping expand access to quality education for children worldwide.

Star-Studded Lineup and Global Mission

Burna Boy described the opportunity as both a privilege and a responsibility. He said representing Africa on the historic stage would help create greater educational opportunities for children.

Meanwhile, beloved characters from Sesame Street and The Muppets will appear during the show. Their participation highlights the event’s commitment to promoting learning and quality education.

Global Citizen is producing the halftime show in partnership with Live Nation and Done + Dusted. Chris Martin introduced the performers in a promotional film, describing the event as a celebration of togetherness.

Earlier this year, FIFA and Global Citizen awarded grants to organisations in ten countries through the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. These programmes combine education, football and community engagement to support underserved children.

The advisory board includes FIFA President Gianni Infantino, Global Citizen CEO Hugh Evans, Shakira, Hugh Jackman, Ivanka Trump, The Weeknd, Serena Williams, Kaká and Bank of America Co-President Jim DeMare.

Additionally, FIFA continues to promote its Unite for Education campaign throughout the tournament. Players will wear the campaign’s sleeve patch during the knockout rounds to raise awareness of education initiatives, including the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, the FIFA Football for Schools Programme and FIFA Foundation education projects.
