ISLAMABAD: PML-N leader Ishaq Dar has been appointed as the leader of the house in the Senate of Pakistan by caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar.
However, the PPP has raised objections to his nomination as the leader of the house in the Senate. It has been learnt that Senator Saleem Mandviwalla of the PPP has been appointed as the chief whip in the Senate.
In September, then Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had appointed Ishaq Dar as Leader of the House in Senate. The appointment was approved by PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif.
